Lancaster, Pa.-based IPA 100 firm RKL LLP (FY24 net revenue of $138 million) has announced the admission of Joel Harnly, Gregory Harp, Lindsey Marchant and Nolan Myers to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1. The firm also named Matt Piatt as practice leader of RKL’s state and local tax (SALT) practice.
Joel Harnly joins the partnership in RKL’s tax services group. Harnly works with companies and their owners to identify tax savings opportunities and plan for future efficiencies and growth, with a focus on closely held and family-owned businesses. He also has experience working with private equity clients on deal structuring and navigating tax considerations related to mergers and acquisitions.
Gregory Harp is a partner in RKL’s audit services group. Harp brings more than 25 years of public accounting experience and serves clients in the manufacturing, distribution and construction industries, including those with international operations or complex ownership structures. His experience includes audits, reviews and compilations under U.S. GAAP for privately held and private equity-backed companies.
Lindsey Marchant is a partner in RKL’s senior living services consulting group. Marchant advises senior living organizations on financial and regulatory challenges, providing services that include outsourced finance department support, general ledger system implementations, benchmarking studies, Medicare and Medicaid cost report preparation and HUD compliance audits.
Nolan Myers joins the partnership in RKL’s small business services group. Myers advises closely held businesses and provides attestation and tax services to clients in the manufacturing and distribution, real estate development and construction industries. He also works on employee benefit plan audits and is a member of the firm’s manufacturing and distribution and real estate and construction industry groups.
Matt Piatt has been named practice leader of RKL’s SALT services group. Piatt’s experience includes income, franchise, gross receipts and sales and use tax matters, with services ranging from nexus studies and voluntary disclosure agreements to SALT M&A due diligence and return review. He works extensively with private equity firms, strategic buyers and closely held businesses.
RKL said the new partner admissions and leadership appointment reflect the firm’s continued commitment to delivering specialized expertise and exceptional client service across its practices.
