Atlanta-based IPA 100 firm Aprio (FY24 net revenue of $485.34 million) has announced the appointment of Carolyn O’Boyle as chief people officer and partner, reinforcing the firm’s focus on building a world-class, people-centered culture as it continues its rapid growth trajectory.
O’Boyle will design and lead a talent strategy aligned with the firm’s business objectives, focusing on attracting top talent, accelerating performance and enabling Aprio’s technology-driven, global service delivery model.
“Carolyn’s leadership will be a catalyst for transformative growth, elevating how we attract, develop and empower our talent to deliver exceptional client experiences,” said Richard Kopelman, CEO of Aprio. “Her experience in building high-performing teams and her vision for the future will open new doors for our people.”
O’Boyle brings extensive experience leading large-scale HR and people operations in complex organizations. Most recently, she served as chief people officer and head of strategy at the Boston Beer Company. She previously spent two decades at Deloitte, where she held roles including national managing director of talent and chief operating officer for Deloitte Talent. Her career includes designing impactful talent strategies, modernizing HR functions and driving digital transformation.
“Aprio is building the firm of the future, and that starts with our people,” O’Boyle said. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside an incredible team and to foster an environment where talent fuels transformational growth.”
O’Boyle succeeds Larry Sheftel, who will transition to partner and HR advisor with the Aprio Alliance Workforce and Operations Team. Under Sheftel’s leadership, Aprio launched several innovative talent programs and earned multiple Top Workplace honors, Culture Excellence Awards and recognition for internship development and employee wellness.
“Larry’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping Aprio’s culture and people programs,” Kopelman said. “We look forward to the impact he will continue to make in this important new role.”
