Mauldin & Jenkins Expands National Reach Through Merger With LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors

Atlanta-based IPA 100 firm Mauldin & Jenkins (FY24 net revenue of $120.64 million) has announced a major expansion through its merger with LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors, effective December 1. The combination adds 178 professionals—including 38 partners—and establishes Mauldin & Jenkins’ presence across five new markets.

The combined firm will operate under the Mauldin & Jenkins name, with new offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Covington and Houma, Louisiana, as well as Houston, Texas. The move significantly enhances the firm’s capabilities in serving clients with complex, multi-state operations and deepens its technical bench in specialized tax, assurance and advisory services.

“This merger not only increases our reach into new dynamic markets; it is an enhancement of the expertise we bring to every client relationship,” said Hanson Borders, MP of Mauldin & Jenkins. “LaPorte has a rich 80-year legacy of quality service, excellence and commitment to its people and clients. The alignment of our values means increased access to specialized knowledge and a broader suite of services for clients across Louisiana and Texas.”

Founded in 1946, LaPorte is one of the largest independent accounting and business advisory firms in the South Central United States.

Eric Bosch, president of LaPorte, will join Mauldin & Jenkins as regional market leader. “Joining Mauldin & Jenkins provides our clients with immediate access to national-firm resources and greater depth of specialization, while maintaining the personalized service they rely on,” Bosch said. “Our professionals will continue working directly with clients, simply backed by the strength of a Top 100 firm.”

Following the merger, Mauldin & Jenkins will have more than 750 professionals across 19 offices, reinforcing its position as a major provider of accounting and advisory services nationwide.
