Doeren Mayhew Expands Midwest and Southeast Presence Through Two Firm Acquisitions

Troy, Mich.-based IPA 100 firm Doeren Mayhew (FY24 net revenue of $170.37 million) has completed the acquisitions of McMurray Fox & Associates PLLC of Tennessee and Novotny CPA Group of West Michigan, marking two additional transactions in a year that included 10 completed acquisitions. The combinations strengthen the firm’s technical resources, expand its regional footprint and deepen industry capabilities.

Novotny CPA Group, effective Nov. 6, expands the firm’s lakeshore presence and enhances its tax and audit practices. All Novotny team members have relocated to Doeren Mayhew’s Grand Haven and Grand Rapids offices and continue in their current roles. “Doeren Mayhew brings a wealth of knowledge and resources to help address our clients’ evolving needs,” said Randy Novotny 

McMurray Fox & Associates, effective Nov. 10, adds offices in Hendersonville and Gallatin, Tenn., along with three principals and additional professionals. The deal broadens the firm’s Nashville practice with audit capabilities and strengthens its real estate and construction practices. “We feel our values and vision closely align with Doeren Mayhew,” said Jamie McMurry, MP of McMurray Fox. “This combination opens new career opportunities for our employees.”
