Lenexa, Kan.-based IPA 100 firm Pinion (FY24 net revenue of $130.8) has announced that Gifford & Cox LLC, a certified public accounting firm serving clients across the Great Plains, will join the firm. The combination strengthens Pinion’s presence in Nebraska, the Dakotas, Colorado and Kansas, and expands its ability to serve agribusinesses and rural enterprises throughout the region.
“Gifford & Cox has built trusted relationships and a strong reputation for serving ag producers and rural businesses across the Plains,” said Jeff Wald, CEO of Pinion. “By bringing our teams together, we’re able to offer a deeper bench of expertise and a greater regional reach — connecting clients to more specialized advisors and insights to help them plan strategically and grow sustainably.”
Founded in 2003, Gifford & Cox provides accounting, tax and consulting services to a wide range of clients, with specialization in ag-related and family-owned businesses. The firm’s regional experience aligns closely with Pinion’s national agribusiness practice.
“Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and joining Pinion ensures they continue to receive the same personalized service and trusted guidance they’ve relied on for years,” said Kyle Gifford, co-founder and principal of Gifford & Cox. “They now gain access to Pinion’s national expertise and resources, which opens up even more opportunities for growth and success.”
Ty Cox, co-founder and principal, added, “This partnership is about more than combining firms — it’s about positioning our clients and our team for long-term success. We’re excited to combine resources to help businesses across the U.S. thrive in the years ahead.”
The deal also reunites several former Kennedy & Coe team members—now Pinion employees—with colleagues from Gifford & Cox, bringing familiar faces back together under the same organization.
