Roanoke, Va.-based IPA 100 firm Brown Edwards (FY24 net revenue of $87.9) has acquired DesRoches & Company, a Virginia Beach-based accounting firm that has served the Hampton Roads community for 37 years. The move strengthens Brown Edwards’ presence across Coastal Virginia and deepens the firm’s homeowners association (HOA) and condominium practice.
Founded in 1988 by Mark DesRoches, the firm built a strong niche in providing specialized accounting and tax services to condominium and homeowners associations. David DesRoches joined in 1993, helping expand the firm’s client base and service offerings.

The acquisition adds more than 25 professionals to Brown Edwards, increasing its Hampton Roads team to over 50. The addition of a Virginia Beach office enhances accessibility for clients across the region and complements the firm’s established Newport News location.
A key component of the deal is the significant expansion of Brown Edwards’ HOA and condominium practice, leveraging DesRoches’ established expertise to broaden capabilities across the firm’s growing footprint.
