Albuquerque, N.M.-based IPA 100 firm REDW Advisors & CPAs (FY24 net revenue of $65.04 million) has launched dedicated corporate finance and transaction advisory services practices to expand its M&A and capital advisory capabilities. The new practices will focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, strategic deal execution and financial due diligence.
“These service lines continue our evolution into a fully integrated firm,” said Steve Cogan, MP of REDW. “REDW has transformed from what was once primarily a tax and accounting firm to one that now provides multidisciplinary advisory services, including software solutions, wealth management, HR consulting, forensic and dispute advisory, business valuation and cybersecurity.”

Brian Foltyn
While transaction advisory work was previously managed under the firm’s valuation and related financial services practice, the new structure establishes two standalone units: corporate finance, focusing on strategic planning and deal execution; and transaction advisory services, specializing in financial due diligence.
Brian Foltyn, principal and department head of the valuation and related financial services practice, said, “Establishing dedicated corporate finance and transaction advisory practices allows us to expand our capacity and capture more opportunities. This focused approach enables us to serve more clients while maintaining the integrated service model that sets REDW apart.”

Dan Sporka
Leading the new practices is Dan Sporka, who joins REDW with nearly two decades of experience advising middle-market and family-owned entities on complex transactions. Sporka’s expertise spans strategic financial planning, operational optimization and deal execution.
“With a holistic, client-centered approach, Dan will ensure these practices deliver tailored solutions that support growth, succession planning and liquidity events,” Cogan said.
The launch follows a period of significant growth for REDW, which recently opened new offices in Oklahoma City and the Pacific Northwest and joined forces with Phoenix-based Hatcher Financial in 2024. The firm was ranked No. 96 on IPA’s 2025 Top 500 list—its highest placement to date.
