Ex-KKR Partner Launches SAINVUS to Transform the CPA Landscape and Closes First Strategic Acquisition

SAINVUS, a newly launched platform focused on acquiring and supporting CPA firms across the United States, announced its official launch and the completion of its first strategic acquisition. The company is led by co-founders Jonathan Smidt, former partner at KKR, and Hilliard Milner, a Chartered Accountant and technology entrepreneur.

SAINVUS’s mission is to provide CPA practices with the infrastructure, resources and capital needed to thrive in a competitive and evolving market. Unlike traditional consolidators, the firm emphasizes long-term partnerships that allow firms to maintain their culture and client relationships while gaining access to operational support, growth capital and expanded service offerings.

The company has acquired Schulman Lobel, a leading CPA firm with more than $23 million in annual revenue and offices in New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles.

“Our goal is to build a network of top-tier CPA practices and empower them to prosper,” said Smidt, co-founder and CEO of SAINVUS. “Firms can retain their brand and independence or integrate more closely with us, accessing tools and support to meet today’s challenges.”

Norman Schulman, managing partner of Schulman Lobel, added: “We chose to partner with SAINVUS because of its innovative approach, expertise, and alignment with our values. We are confident this alliance will drive growth for both organizations.”

SAINVUS supports firms through:

  • Growth Capital to fund acquisitions and expansion.
  • Operational Resources, including HR, administrative support and offshore workforce solutions.
  • Technology Investments that improve efficiency and client service.
  • Expanded Service Offerings such as valuation and forensic accounting.

SAINVUS is actively seeking partnerships with growth-oriented CPA firms and is recruiting CPA, Tax and Audit professionals to join its expanding platform.
