CRI Increases Investment in Texas with Williams Steinert Mask CPAs

Enterprise, Ala.-based Top 100 firm Carr Riggs & Ingram (FY24 net revenue of $506.5 million) has expanded into the San Antonio market with the addition of Williams Steinert Mask CPAs (WSM).

The third-generation family-owned practice has served the San Antonio area for more than 60 years, providing tax, attest, outsourced accounting and consulting services to clients in real estate, construction, nonprofit organizations and other industries. The merger adds offices in San Antonio and Bulverde, along with three partners — Chris Williams, Tonya Steinert, and Kirk Mask — and their team of professionals.

“Williams Steinert Mask has built a strong legacy of client service in San Antonio, and we are excited to continue that journey together,” said CRI chairman Bill Carr. “Expanding our presence in Texas has long been a cornerstone of CRI’s growth strategy, and this merger establishes us in one of the state’s most dynamic markets.”

With this addition, CRI now operates in 38 markets across 12 states. The firm also manages nine portfolio companies, including:

  • Auditwerx – SOC reporting and IT audits
