New York-based IPA 100 firm Citrin Cooperman (FY24 net revenue $871 million) announced several key leadership appointments effective Sept. 1.

Shawn Howard will formally assume the role of president, non-attest core services. In his new role, Howard will provide strategic and operational leadership in partnership with Citrin Cooperman’s regional teams, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service, ensuring technical quality, developing staff and driving regional growth.
Mike Sabatini will move into the role of MP, markets & regions, where he will oversee Citrin Cooperman’s geographic operations with an emphasis on regional P&L management.
Having served as Deputy Tax Practice Leader since January, Robena Jafari will now lead the firmwide tax practice as MP. She will be responsible for guiding strategic priorities, advancing technical excellence and expanding capabilities across all tax service areas. Jafari will also focus on fostering collaboration across practices and maintaining the firm’s standing as a trusted advisor in an increasingly complex tax landscape.
Ken Kirkland will take on the role of the firm’s first chief growth officer, leading Citrin Cooperman’s organic growth strategy, including business development, sales, marketing and oversight of its industry verticals.
Joining Citrin Cooperman on Sept. 16, Diana Walsh will serve as deputy chief growth officer, working closely with Ken Kirkland to execute the firm’s growth priorities. Her responsibilities will include refining go-to-market strategies, enhancing the client experience and driving innovation in business development. Walsh brings extensive experience in marketing, branding and client development, most recently serving as chief client development & marketing officer at Honigman LLP.
