Weaver Launches Government Consulting Services

Houston-based IPA 100 firm Weaver (FY22 net revenue of $197.6 million) has launched a new government consulting services line, designed to support state and local governments and related organizations as they undergo transformational financial change and modernize their practices in IT, HR and governance.

“Weaver has served state and local governments and agencies for more than 70 years,” says CEO and MP John Mackel. “As our clients face increased demands for managing new sources of funding, we will continue to support them in effectively managing risk, solving problems and reporting results to constituents and stakeholders.”

Led by new partner Todd Hoffman, the new practice will assist clients with capital projects and economic development initiatives, as well as disaster recovery readiness and the implementation of ESG-related goals, with a focus on the areas of strategy, operations, technology and human resources.

Hoffman has more than three decades of state and local government consulting experience, having led large-scale projects in business process improvement, financial and organizational assessments, financial and business transformations, grant management, technology implementations, workforce development, stakeholder outreach and inclusion, employee engagement and change management for government entities nationwide. He also has experience planning, managing and monitoring a variety of complex federal disaster relief funding programs. Prior to joining Weaver, Hoffman served as a partner in a Big 4 public sector practice that spun off to a boutique management and technology consulting services firm in 2018.
