Houston-based IPA 100 firm Weaver (FY22 net revenue of $197.6 million) has admitted Brandon Cooperman as an assurance partner in its alternative investment fund practice.

Cooperman has more than 13 years of experience in public accounting, including more than a decade with a Big 4 firm, providing audit and non-audit services for clients across the investment management industry. He has worked with public and private management companies, hedge funds, mutual funds, fund-of-funds and investment advisors, and has also performed integrated audits for large, multi-national companies.

“Weaver’s client base includes more than 2,300 investment funds, and we continue to see rapid growth across our offices coast-to-coast, especially in New York City,” says CEO and MP John Mackel. “Bringing Brandon on board will not only benefit our existing and new clients within that market, it also reflects our commitment to serving the alternative investment industry.”
