RSM Names National Tax Industry Leader

Severino

Chicago-based IPA 100 firm RSM US LLP (FY22 net revenue of $3.31 billion) has named Maria Severino as its new national tax industry leader. She succeeds Matt Talcoff, who became the firm’s Washington national tax leader in May.

Severino joined RSM in 2017 and has nearly three decades of experience advising public, private and multinational corporate clients in a wide range of industries, including financial services, industrials, technology and business services. She has provided strategic tax guidance and solutions around M&A and divestitures, as well as inbound and outbound investments and business expansions. In addition to her new position, Severino will maintain her role as national tax leader of RSM Canada, which she assumed in 2017.

“As someone who has spent her career working closely with a variety of industries, Maria understands the importance clients place on having an advisor who knows the power of being understood,” says national tax leader E.J. Nedder. “Her unique brand of leadership will help elevate the experience of our people as first-choice advisors so they can continue to bring the full power of our firm to the middle market.”
