Friedman Makes Leadership Promotions

New York-based IPA 100 firm Friedman LLP has admitted the following four professionals to its partnership:

  • Sungjoo Hong is a tax partner specializing in serving high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses and family offices in all aspects of financial strategy and administration, including the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, trusts and estates, partnerships, corporations and private foundations
  • Sophia Li is a partner in the firm’s China practice with more than 11 years of experience contributing to, managing and overseeing complex audits involving transactions, capital raises, spin-offs and reviews in industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, e-commerce, retail, utilities, advertising and the arts.
  • Yihung (Richard) Ouyang is an audit partner who leads projects relating to various SOX and SEC requirements, and consults on disclosure standards and complex accounting issues across a range of industries, including consumer products, life sciences and technology.
  • Anthony Rodriguez is an international tax partner with experience counseling middle-market companies with global operations, addressing complex U.S. tax issues (including cash repatriation strategies) for high-net-worth individuals and consulting on the U.S. tax implications of reorganizations.

The firm also added 31 new principals and six directors to its leadership ranks.

Friedman recently agreed to merge with IPA 100 firm Marcum later this summer.
