Eric Miles Takes the Helm at Moss Adams

Miles

In a move first announced in September of 2021, Eric Miles has officially taken over as chairman and CEO of Seattle-based IPA 100 firm Moss Adams LLP (FY20 net revenue of $820 million). He succeeds Chris Schmidt, who retired at the end of March after serving as chairman and CEO since 2013.

Miles joined Moss Adams in 1998 and most recently led the firm’s consulting services, overseeing more than 50 distinct service lines. His experience at the firm has covered a wide variety of practice areas, including operations, compliance, accounting, information technology and fraud prevention. He is a member of the firm’s executive committee and previously led the technology, communications and media, and life sciences practices.

“I’m eternally grateful to Chris for his skillful leadership over the years, and for the mentorship he’s provided to me over the past six months to ensure a smooth executive transition,” Miles says. “I look forward to leading Moss Adams into the future, helping the firm, our people and our clients navigate an increasingly complex and dynamic business landscape.”
