Aprio Expands in Northeast with Merger

Expanding its presence in the Northeast, Atlanta-based IPA 100 firm Aprio LLP (FY20 net revenue of $122.9 million) is merging in Fairfield, N.J.-based Leaf Miele Manganelli Fortunato & Engel LLC (Leaf Saltzman).

“The Northeast is a vital market for Aprio’s ambitious national growth strategy,” says Adam Venokur, Northeast regional leader at Aprio. “The combination with Leaf Saltzman yields immense benefits for our combined client-centric team members and growing client base.”

Founded in 1978, Leaf Saltzman provides accounting and financial services to clients across the Northeast serving a wide range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, professional services, international and private equity. As part of the deal, Leaf Saltzman’s 32 team members, including five partners, will join Aprio when the transaction becomes effective on June 1.

“Since our firm’s inception, we’ve established strong personal relationships with our clients and the local community,” says Leaf Saltzman MP Larry Leaf, who will become the new national trust and estate leader at Aprio. “Together with Aprio, we will widen our breadth of capabilities and services, further priming the financial future of our clients, local communities and beyond.”
