Pittsburgh-based Maher Duessel has named Timothy Morgus as its next MP. He succeeds Elizabeth Krisher, who has served as president and MP for the past five years and will now transition to the position of chairman and CEO as she continues to serve clients.
“I have been gratified to witness the growth of our firm over its 30-year history,” says Krisher. “Tim has been key to our growth and a model of our firm’s motto, ‘Pursuing the Profession While Promoting the Public Good.’ I look forward to working with Tim and our team as Maher Duessel continues this pursuit.”
Morgus joined Maher Duessel in 1996 and has been a VP, a member of the firm’s board of directors and serves as director of recruiting. As a partner on audit engagements, he serves a wide range of clients in the governmental and non-profit sectors including counties, municipalities, authorities, educational agencies, community development organizations, human service organizations and industrial development entities.
“We have a wonderful team of partners and professionals that truly care about providing exceptional client service in a team-oriented, career-fulfilling environment,” Morgus says. “The accounting profession continues to transform, and we are well-positioned to stay ahead of the curve.”
