Milwaukee-based IPA 100 firm Wipfli LLP (FY21 net revenue of $431.5 million) has named Suresh Geer as industry leader for its national tribal consulting practice.
Geer has more than 21 years of tribal finance and governance experience. Prior to joining Wipfli earlier this year, he served in financial leadership roles with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, including the past eight years as executive director of finance/CFO. Among other responsibilities, he served as finance director of tribal government operations when the Seminole Tribe of Florida acquired Hard Rock International in 2006, a $965 million brand acquisition that represented one of the largest purchases ever made by an American Indian tribe.
“Coming from his work with the Seminole Tribe, Suresh brings this incredibly rich depth of experience,” says current tribal consulting practice leader Joseph Eve, who will be retiring in 2022. “He is the right leader for us at this inflection point, ensuring Wipfli remains the consultant of choice for tribal governments, with visionary enterprise and strategic goals.”
