Deloitte Announces Climate Education for Entire Workforce

Big 4 firm Deloitte is launching a new climate learning program for all 330,000 employees.

The program is designed to educate the workforce about the impacts of climate change and what they can do about it. The online program is developed in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund.

“To address climate change, we need to understand it. Through dedicated learning, we can help make the right choices necessary to combat the crisis,” says Punit Renjen, Deloitte Global CEO. “Deloitte’s climate learning program is a powerful tool to unlock the climate ambition of our most valuable asset and superpower—our people.”

The program includes videos, interactive data visualizations and personal testimonials from Deloitte employees who are taking climate action around the globe.

“Climate change brings global impacts that demand global solutions,” says Carter Roberts, president and CEO of World Wildlife Fund. “Leading companies today are not only setting science-based targets to slash emissions and drive progress through their supply chains, they’re also engaging their customers and employees to make smarter choices and build momentum for broader societal progress. ”

The new program builds on Deloitte’s climate and sustainability initiative globally, WorldClimate. Launched in September 2020, this strategy outlines Deloitte’s commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
