Wayne, Pa.-based corporate tax services firm Global Tax Management (GTM) has named David Sekula as the third CEO in the company’s history. When he formally takes over on Jan. 1, 2022, he will succeed Dave Laurinaitis, who has served in the role since 2015 and will retire at the end of 2022.
“Dave Sekula has been a driver of growth and a culture champion of the firm throughout his long tenure at GTM,” says Laurinaitis. “Dave’s passion for our business model and his proven track record of success give me great confidence in his ability to accelerate GTM into its next chapter.”
Sekula joined GTM in 2006 and co-founded the firm’s tax automation services practice. He has played a pivotal role in GTM’s acquisition of co-sourced tax engagements with some of the largest Fortune 500 multinational companies in the life sciences, manufacturing, utilities, chemicals and retail industries, and has led the expansion of the firm’s regional metro markets including Philadelphia, New York, Washington and Pittsburgh. Most recently, he has served as chief revenue officer for the firm.
“GTM has developed a culture of client service, entrepreneurship and community,” says Sekula. “Our story is just beginning. As one of the largest tax-only firms in the country, we have a bright future and a talented team to ensure success.”
