Sweeney Conrad PS of Kirkland, Wash., has announced that Sam North will take over as its new managing shareholder, effective Nov. 1. He will succeed John Forrest, who has served as president and managing shareholder since 2014, and who will continue as a shareholder at the firm following the transition.
North began his career at Sweeney Conrad in 2008 and was named shareholder in 2015. In addition to his new role, he will continue to provide tax compliance and consulting services to closely held businesses and their owners.
“We are excited about this transition,” says Forrest. “Sam has played an integral role in building our international tax practice, implementing and building our ‘people first’ culture and providing exceptional client service and nurturing our young professionals from associate forward.”
