Dan Cadigan, a former MP of Springfield, Ill.-based IPA 200 firm Kerber Eck & Braeckel, passed away on April 16 at the age of 81, according to an announcement in The State Journal-Register of Springfield.
Outside of his accounting career, the paper noted that Cadigan was a longtime volunteer for an/or supporter of Sacred-Heart Griffin High School, Blessed Sacrament Grade School, the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Central Illinois, among others.
“You work with a lot of people and you always knew what to expect with Dan,” John Eck Sr., who worked with Cadigan at KEB from 1964 to 1995, told the Journal-Register. “He was always straight-up, straightforward and by the book. You didn’t go to bed at night and worry about what Dan had done during the day for the firm because you knew it was top-flight all the time.”
