Atlanta-based IPA 100 firm Aprio LLP has admitted Richard Schriefer as a partner in the New York office of Aprio Wealth Management. Schriefer has more than 20 years of asset management experience and holds life and health insurance registrations in over 35 states. He is also a settlement planning expert, providing guidance and management controls to safeguard plaintiff jury awards in personal injury, wrongful death and malpractice cases, and crafting structured settlements funded through annuities.
“Richard, alongside the Aprio New York team, will coordinate clients’ financial, investment and tax planning to provide the best contextual advice so they can make the best financial decisions,” says Adam Venokur, Aprio’s regional MP for the Northeast.
Separately, the firm also announced the formation of Aprio People Advisory Services, a new service line designed to assist businesses with their financial, human capital and operational challenges. Led by director Tim Cofrin, the service looks to help companies reduce hiring risks and handle multijurisdictional tax requirements, shore up HR policies and procedures, take advantage of cloud-based HR technology solutions, and identify and hire top IT, finance and accounting talent.
“With the global pandemic shifting employees out of the office and into a remote workforce, employers are faced with complex government regulations surrounding hiring practices, multijurisdictional tax regulations and a myriad of other HR policy guidelines,” says CEO and MP Richard Kopelman. “Owners need peace of mind that their employees’ needs are met and that they are appropriately managing risk, so they can confidently focus on building and growing a thriving business.”
