Atlanta-based IPA 100 firm Aprio LLP (FY19 net revenue of $110.2 million) has acquired digital transformation and cybersecurity consulting company Syzygy Solutions of Sandy Springs, Ga., and its IT staffing firm Velossent.
An Aprio client since 2014, Syzygy provides data privacy and security solutions, which will complement Aprio’s data and analytics and business technology consulting services, as well as its privacy and security risk assessment and attestation services. Velossent, which specializes in placing top-performing developers, engineers, technology leaders and recruiters, will expand under Aprio to include accounting and finance staffing under the banner of Aprio Talent Solutions. As part of the deal, Syzygy and Velossent’s founders and managing partners – CEO Mitch Nelson, COO Jeff Kramer and CIO Scott Sarris – will join Aprio as managing directors of digital transformation advisory services. Nelson will also serve as managing director of Aprio Talent Solutions.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has made digital transformation a business imperative,” says Aprio CEO and MP Richard Kopelman. “Companies need to develop and execute on a digital roadmap that will create competitive advantage and increase profitability while providing peace of mind. Syzygy and Velossent’s combined solutions provide the people, process and technology capabilities for companies to thrive in the next era of digitization, knowing their environments are secure.”
