New Survey Shows Continued Support for Remote Work

Even as many companies begin to plot their return to physical offices, remote work is likely to stick around for the foreseeable future, according to the 2020 Anytime, Anywhere Work Survey from management consulting firm ConvergenceCoaching, which works exclusively with accounting firms. Among the survey findings:

  • 81% of firms surveyed indicated they expect to have an increase, or a significant increase in the number of people working remote post-pandemic
  • While 30% of respondents foresee shrinking their office footprint, 62% expect to make no change
  • 55% of respondents reported they have developed (29%) or are working on (26%) remote internship programs

“This year’s survey was unique as remote work became a top priority inside firms as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic,” says ConvergenceCoaching partner Renee Moelders. “Firms are investing in remote and flexible work in new and exciting ways – an encouraging finding considering the reactive nature that many firms operated from earlier in the year.”
