Jen Leary

IPA 100 firm CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) (FY19 net revenue of $1.1 billion) has appointed Jen Leary as CEO, effective Jan. 1. She succeeds Denny Schleper, who will transition to a CEO emeritus role and remain actively involved in the firm through 2021.

Leary brings over 22 years of experience to her new role, having spent the last 11 years at CLA serving in various client services and firm-wide roles, most recently as chief strategy officer and a member of the firm’s board of directors.

“The collaborative transition process between leaders across the firm over the past year has me excited for the future,” says Schleper. “Jen has the experience and extensive knowledge of the industry to continue to build our brand and global reach.”

In addition to Leary’s appointment, CLA also announced the selection of five senior executives who will serve with her as the firm’s leadership team: chief culture and engagement officer Nancy Brown, chief quality officer Cathy Clarke, chief geographic officer Scott Engelbrecht, chief solutions officer Yassir Karam and chief industry officer John Langan.

“CLA’s immediate focus in 2021 is helping our clients navigate to the other side of this pandemic and uncover opportunities in the process,” says Leary. “We look forward to building on our commitment to positioning our clients, our people and our communities to build a stronger future.”
