New York-based IPA 100 firm Marks Paneth LLP (FY19 net revenue of $141.4 million) has admitted Clarence (Guy) Peterson as a partner in the firm’s professional standards group. In his new role, Peterson will work with auditing, accounting and independence standards, and will perform engagement quality control reviews of attest engagements.
Peterson has more than 30 years of experience in accounting and auditing, with specific expertise in PCAOB standards, SOX, GAAS and IFRS. He has performed engagement quality control reviews and has managed numerous global and domestic internal inspections. Prior to joining Marks Paneth, Peterson was a managing director at a Big 4 firm.
