IPA 100 firm CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) (FY19 net revenue of $1.1 billion) is merging in Irvine, Calif.-based IPA 200 firm White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP (FY19 net revenue of $31.1 million) in a deal expected to close on Nov. 1. More than 100 White Nelson team members will continue to serve clients from the firm’s California offices in Irvine and Carlsbad, thereby increasing CLA’s southern California team to more than 300 people.
“We chose CLA for many reasons but first and foremost for its future vision and its culture,” says White Nelson MP Paul Treinen. “CLA is an ideal fit for our clients and professionals. We are confident that this will allow us to expand service offerings to our clients while also expanding the opportunities for all of our team.”
“White Nelson is Orange County’s largest independent firm and was sought after by many firms,” says consultant Allan Koltin, who advised both firms on the deal. “I believe they chose CLA because of the strategic fit for their clients and the growth opportunities for their people.”
