Chicago-based IPA 100 firm BDO USA (FY20 net revenue of $1.8 billion) has acquired Chicago insurance claim and valuation consulting outfit Quantum Global Advisors to expand its forensic investigations and litigation support practice. The deal will bring 28 professionals from Quantum to BDO.
Founded in 1945, Quantum specializes in a wide array of property insurance categories, including business interruption claims process and forensic loss analysis. BDO will align its technology with Quantum’s digital platform, Asset Intel Modeling, to enhance the firm’s claims services with real-time data on client assets in an interactive, visual manner.
“Right now, our clients need a 360-degree view of their businesses to remain resilient during these challenging times,” says Jay Duke, national MP for advisory services at BDO. “In combination with Quantum, we now have a deeper, more holistic business insurance advisory practice that will result in stronger outcomes as organizations, large and small, work toward recovery.”
