Maryland Association of CPAs Kicks Off CPA Innovation Summit with Futurist Daniel Burrus

The Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA) has tapped futurist Daniel Burrus to deliver the free keynote address that kicks off its 18-part CPA Innovation Summit webcast series.

MACPA president and CEO Tom Hood will join Burrus for the virtual presentation “Anticipate and Reimagine What’s Next” on Oct. 2. Together, the pair will examine the latest trends that are impacting the profession, as well as new research from Burrus Research, McKinsey & Company, Gartner, MIT’s Sloan School of Management and MACPA’s Business Learning Institute. They will also discuss how accounting and finance professionals can anticipate future trends, seize new opportunities and avoid being disrupted.

“With all that’s happened – with all that’s still happening – many CPAs and finance and accounting professionals are busier than ever,” says Burrus. “Now is the time to go beyond trying to keep up and use the certainty that comes from the hard trends that are shaping the future to have the confidence to make bold moves.”
