Warren Averett Announces New Partners

Birmingham, Ala.-based Warren Averett (FY14 net revenue of $114.2 million) is announced that nine individuals have been admitted to the partnership.

Hanny Akl, Birmingham office, leads the firm’s transaction advisory practice. He supports clients in all phases of their business and transaction life cycles and works with a wide variety of clients, including private equity, closely held and public companies as well as local governments.

Matt Goldin, Atlanta office, is a member in the firm’s audit department. He specializes in merger and acquisition services, including quality of earnings, due diligence procedures and exit readiness consulting. He also provides assurance services and post transaction integration assistance.

Jangkeun (Paul) Han, Montgomery, Ala., office, is the firm’s national service leader of Korean business. He provides multi-disciplinary services to Korean-owned businesses including auditing, taxation and start-up consulting on tax and business incentive filings.

Lauren Hines, Atlanta office, leads the tax department. She specializes in tax planning and preparation for high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses and estates and trusts.

Tia Levanda, Montgomery, Ala., office, is a member in the firm’s tax division. She specializes in multi-state tax returns and tax research, and she provides tax planning for clients in the retail, real estate and manufacturing industries. She also serves on the firm’s committee for tax best practices.

Chris Morrow, Birmingham office, serves as the firm’s chief information officer and leads the firm’s information technology division, overseeing all IT functions within the firm. He has technology experience in various capacities including software development, systems architecture and management.

Yogesh Patel, Birmingham and Atlanta offices, is a member in the firm’s audit department, and serves a variety of clients by providing assurance services, business advisory and forensic accounting. Industries of expertise include health care, non-profit, manufacturing and distribution, and professional service firms.

Hunter Sapp Jr., Atlanta office, works in the firm’s tax division. His primary focus is tax planning and compliance for partnerships, corporations, trusts and individuals. He also specializes in IRS examinations, multi-state tax matters and business transactions.

Jared Sharp, Huntsville, Ala., office, serves clients in technology, biotechnology, government contracting and manufacturing industries. He specializes in R&D tax credits, accounting for income taxes, FIN 48 and state and local tax issues. He is also Huntsville’s service area leader for their tax division.
