Timonium, Md.-based KatzAbosch (FY14 net revenue of $14.4 million) has awarded the Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) “Edge Award” for 2015 Outstanding Marketing Initiative – Niche Development.
Each award category illustrates LEA’s core belief that continuing success is grounded in being accomplished in all areas of practice development and firm management. LEA members across the country and around the globe use Edge submissions as models for their own programs. The Outstanding Marketing Initiative category honors the most creative and productive initiative or campaign focused on any of the following: sales, client retention, referral source development, media relations, etc.
Kelly Ernest, KatzAbosch marketing manager, outlined the innovative solution that identified the firm as a top candidate for this award. “Over the past year, KatzAbosch has made a concerted effort to leverage targeted areas of growth for the firm through niche marketing. The government contracting niche has become one of the leading efforts within the firm. Being physically located in the Baltimore and D.C. Metro region, we are very aptly positioned to serve those contracting with the government. There was some low-hanging fruit we identified at first. But then, we had to configure how to attract other ideal prospects in the market so they would regard us as experts and reach out to us for help,” Ernest says.
