Atlanta-based Mauldin & Jenkins (FY15 net revenue of $46.4 million) has announced the appointment of seven new partners in the Atlanta, Macon, Ga., Chattanooga, Tenn., and Bradenton, Fla., offices.
“As the economy within our markets continues to heal, these partners allow us to continue our focus on growth, quality work and client service, which is the foundation of our 97 years of success,” says MP Donny Luker.
The new partners are:
Bob Heuel – Atlanta
Heuel’s focus is individual income tax compliance and planning. He also works with closely held companies and employee benefit plans. He joined M&J in 2008 and has over 15 years of experience in public accounting.
James Bence – Atlanta
Bence primarily serves a wide range of state and local governmental entities and has worked solely with governments since joining the firm in 2003.
Matt Hill – Chattanooga
Hill has over 16 years of experience in public accounting, all with M&J, serving a wide range of clients in the public services industry. His experience with the firm covers a variety of state and local government organizations.
Dianne Kopczynski – Bradenton
Kopcznski has over 20 years of auditing experience in the financial institution, higher education, not-for-profit, employee benefit plan, construction and various for profit industries. She is also a Certified Internal Auditor.
Christian Bennett – Chattanooga
Bennett focuses on providing auditing, accounting and consulting services for financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations and employee benefit plans.
Carl Garner – Atlanta
Garner has focused his career on taxation of closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals and non-profits. He is a firmwide tax resource in mergers and acquisitions, tax controversy and real estate. He represents individuals, corporations, partnerships and non-profit entities before the Internal Revenue Service and the Georgia Department of Revenue at both the examination and appellate levels. He has served as an expert witness for tax matters in U.S. District Court and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
David Irwin – Macon
Irwin has over 12 years of experience in public accounting, all with M&J, serving a wide range of clients in the public services industry. His experience with the firm covers a variety of state and local government organizations.
