KPMG has tapped Darren Donovan, a veteran of its advisory group, to be the firm’s new OMP in Boston, the Boston Business Journal reported.
Donovan has been at KPMG for 14 years, most recently as the advisory office leader for New England and upstate New York.
The South Boston native is looking to grow KPMG’s headcount in the region. The firm had just short of 900 employees in Massachusetts at the beginning of 2015, nearly half the amount of the next-closest member of the Big 4, Ernst & Young. KPMG’s pace of growth here in recent years has been substantial, however: Its headcount increased by roughly 15 percent in 2014 and has increased by more than 40 percent since 2010.
