Chicago-based Grant Thornton (FY12 net revenue of $1.25 billion) announced several personnel moves. Jacqueline Akerblom has been named West region MP. Akerblom succeeds Joel Anik, who will be responsible for all operations, including client service and professional matters for 11 offices in the western United States. Akerblom will also continue to lead the firm’s Southern California practice as the OMP. She will be based out of Los Angeles. The move was effective Aug. 1.
Also, in the firm’s Atlanta office, David Sites has been admitted as International Tax Services partner. Andy Tarquinio was named PIC of the firm’s Melville, N.Y., tax practice. Those moves became effective Aug. 1. In the firm’s Denver office, Lori Davis has been named OMP. She was previously the OMP for the firm’s Wichita practice. She is succeeding Jim Burton, who has been named national partner of auditing methodologies. Those changes wee effective immediately.
