Rapidly changing technology led to the merger of Casey, Neilon & Associates of Carson City, Nev. (FY11 net revenue of $2.6 million), and Crandall & Co. of Reno, Nev., the Northern Nevada Business Weekly reported.
The merged firms will operate as Casey, Neilon & Associates. Partners of both firms, Darsi Casey and Nicola Neilon of Casey, Neilon & Associates and Bill Crandall and Terry Thomas of Crandall & Company, will remain partners of the new combination.
Casey, MP of Casey, Neilon & Associates, told the newspaper that talks began in December, prompted by the desire of Crandall & Co. to use advanced technology that’s used by Casey, Neilon & Associates.
The firms will combine their staffs of 24 and will operate offices in Reno, Carson City and Incline Village.
