Blain Heckaman has been appointed MP of Miami-based Kaufman, Rossin & Co. (FY12 net revenue of $53.3 million).
Heckaman, 54, is an Indiana native who graduated from Ball State University. He moved to South Florida in 1984 when Kaufman hired him. He has risen through the firm’s audit practice. The firm began grooming Heckaman for leadership when he became the fifth member of the management committee.
James Kaufman, a founder of the firm, will remain as chairman and CEO, the firm announced. Heckaman, who has been with the firm for 28 years, was called a “strategic visionary” by Kaufman. “He is in-step with the firm’s commitment to leading edge technology, which has helped increase efficiency and productivity for our clients and fully supports our employee-driven culture.”
